Throughout this process my time was not at all taken into consideration. We all live busy lives, for many it’s important to be intentional about how they spend their time. This entire experience completely changed how I view the organization and their recruiting process. Ive been a big fan of BJCs important work promoting religious liberty for all for a long time, so I am not surprised I ended up loving my time as a BJC Fellow. I understand interviews don’t guarantee job placement however asking someone to create an entire marketing plan when you have no intent on being responsive is incredibly disingenuous.
Not even an hour after reaching out to the person who interviewed me, I receive an email from the recruiter stating I wasn’t selected for the position. MyTime Team

After 4 days of not hearing back I followed up to make sure the interviewer received my marketing plan. There was no attempt to acknowledge receiving the plan, no interview updates, nothing. I submitted said plan and received absolutely no response from the interviewer.

I spent my free time creating the plan and power point presentation. At the end of the interview, I was asked to create a marketing plan and submit after the weekend. I did notice the interviewer seemed somewhat distant and disinterested - a definite precursor for how the rest of the process was to go. The virtual interview was fairly standard - behavioral questions, asking about experience, what questions I had for them etc.

The second interview was with a manager on the team, was virtual and conducted via teams. Interview My first interview was with a recruiter who initially reached out to me.
